Zero Butt Weld Alloy 625 Capillary Tubing

With the increasing demand for geothermal resource development, geothermal wells are an important source of heat energy collection, and the performance and stability of their pipeline systems are particularly critical. In the face of the challenging demand of "no butt welding throughout the process" put forward by customers, MTSCO and factory-side SIRI Tubing Industry quickly formed a special team to conduct in-depth research and technical research on the welding difficulties of Alloy 625 materials, and successfully delivered more than 2,000 meters of continuous welded capillary tubing. This project not only breaks through the limitations of traditional welding processes, but also provides a stable and reliable solution for high temperature, high pressure and highly corrosive environments such as geothermal wells.

Technical highlights and solutions:

No butt welding throughout the process:
The customer required that the entire coil had no butt welding joints and the length exceeded 2,000 meters, which posed a great challenge to traditional TIG welding, resistance welding and other processes. To this end, we introduced 100% laser welding technology. With the accuracy and stability of laser welding, we ensured that the entire pipe had no welded joints and the length met the standard, avoiding the joint weaknesses in traditional welding processes.

Welding process optimization:
The welding window of Alloy 625 material is extremely narrow and difficult, and welding is prone to cracks and deformation. In order to overcome this problem, the MTSCO & SiRi team optimized the laser welding process through special tests, verified and determined the optimal process parameters, and successfully ensured the stability and defect-freeness of the weld.

Comprehensive quality control and testing:
To ensure the reliability of the product, MTSCO & SiRi implemented strict quality control measures throughout the production process. Before the product leaves the factory, it completes full-item testing such as ET eddy current testing, PMI material analysis, and dimensional measurement, and passes the full ASTM A704 test to ensure that the quality of each coil meets international standards and can operate stably in extreme environments such as geothermal wells. Our coiled tubing has been successfully applied to some harsh subsea and downhole conditions, and through continuous research and development, it meets the strict quality requirements of the oil and gas industry and other industries. This cooperation further ensures the high quality standards of our products and long-term stability in complex environments.

Project results:

Through this project, MTSCO not only successfully delivered products that met customer needs, but also provided reliable solutions. Our technological progress not only met the customer's "zero butt welding" requirements, but also improved the application performance of Alloy 625 in high temperature, high pressure and highly corrosive environments through continuous technical research, further reducing customer maintenance costs and improving the long-term reliability of the system. From product delivery to solution delivery, we always focus on customer needs. Especially in high temperature and high pressure environments such as geothermal wells, we carefully match materials and processes to ensure that each pipeline can maintain stable and safe operation under extreme conditions.

MTSCO has always been committed to providing customers with reliable and safe technical support. No matter how harsh the environment is, we always escort customers with leading technology.
