Alloy 625

Alloy 625 (UNS N06625) nickel tube is made of nickel chromium molybdenum alloy added with niobium, which has good corrosion resistance and high strength. Due to the high nickel content, alloy 625 is not affected by stress corrosion cracking caused by chloride. It also has good pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. The strength of alloy 625 comes from the hardening effect of molybdenum and niobium on its Ni Cr matrix. Although the alloy was developed for high temperature strength, its highly alloyed composition also provides significant overall corrosion resistance.

The alloy has excellent thermal stability. Alloy 625 is the preferred alloy for surfacing applications in oil and gas / petrochemical and oil refining markets.
