Alloy 22 (UNS N06022) is an all austenitic nickel chromium molybdenum tungsten alloy, which has better overall corrosion resistance than other nickel alloys (like alloy C-276, alloy C4 and alloy 625), especially in high chlorine environment.
Alloy 22 has excellent resistance to various chemical process environments, including ferric chloride, chlorine, heat contaminated solutions, acetic acid, seawater and brine solutions. Alloy 22 is ideal when considering the use of alloys in extremely corrosive environments.
