Alloy 600 (UNS N06600) is a nickel chromium iron solid solution strengthening alloy, which is used in applications requiring corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. High nickel content reduces the possibility of stress corrosion cracking of the alloy under annealing conditions. The increase of chromium content in the alloy improves the high temperature resistance to sulfur compounds and oxidation compounds in high temperature or corrosive media.
The outstanding performance of alloy 600 is that it can resist the corrosion of dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride, and the application temperature is as high as 650 ℃.
The alloy has good oxidation resistance and spalling strength under high temperature annealing and solid solution treatment.
