Alloy C276

Alloy C276 (UNS N10276) is a kind of nickel molybdenum chromium iron tungsten alloy, which is one of the most commonly used corrosion-resistant materials. It is used in various environments from moderate oxidation to strong reduction.

Alloy C276 has excellent resistance to sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid, acidic chloride, formic acid and acetic acid, wet chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine solution due to its high content of nickel, chromium and molybdenum.

It has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. Like many other nickel alloys, it is malleable and easy to form and weld. This alloy is used in most industrial environments where corrosive chemical environments exist and other alloys fail.
